EN: Anan is a realist short film about gender, the body, and space. Through minimalist cinematography and an almost wordless narrative, it offers a glimpse into the unease and dislocation experienced by those on the margins of a rigid social framework. When even the most basic bodily need—using the restroom—becomes difficult to fulfill, we are left to ask: is it the system that oppresses us, or do we place too much weight on it ourselves? The film offers no answers, nor does it pass judgment. It simply holds the distance between a body and the space around it, quietly awaiting the viewer’s response.
