Una ragazza transgender si chiude nella sua stanza per paura dei mostri che la minacciano fuori, finché dietro lo specchio non appare una nuova realtà dove questi mostri non esistono e lei è libera di essere chi è o chi vuole essere. Il suo primo cortometraggio animato, “The Juggler”, è stato nominato per l’Accademia del cinema brasiliano e selezionato in più di 220 festival in 47 paesi, con un totale di 37 premi vinti. Iuri attualmente lavora come creatore, regista e sceneggiatore capo della serie di animazione “347 Mission” e ha recentemente pubblicato un nuovo cortometraggio, “The girl Behind the Mirror”, premiato come miglior film per bambini al 28° Encounters Film Festival nel Regno Unito, e selezionato in più di 50 festival, 7 dei quali qualificati agli Oscar. Iuri è anche uno dei creatori di “Lanterna Mágica – International Animation Festival” e sta producendo il suo primo lungometraggio, “Armadillo Girl”, oltre a lavorare su altri progetti di cortometraggi, lungometraggi e serie che sono in fase di sviluppo.

Synopsis:
A transgender girl locks herself in her room for fear of the monsters that threaten her outside, until a new reality appears behind the mirror where these monsters do not exist and she is free to be who she is or who she wants to be. The short was selected for 16 Festivals, including: FESTIVAL DE CINE DE BOGOTÁ (2022), LA GUARIMBA INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL (2022), BROOKLYN FILM FESTIVAL (2022), ZLIN FILM FESTIVAL (2022), OUTFEST PERU (2022), ANIBAR INTERNATIONAL ANIMATION FESTIVAL (2022).

Iuri Moreno owns the production company Caolha Filmes, where he works as an executive producer, director and animation screenwriter. His first animated short, “The Juggler,” was nominated for the Brazilian Film Academy and selected in more than 220 festivals in 47 countries, with a total of 37 awards won. Iuri currently works as the creator, director and head writer of the animation series “347 Mission” and recently released a new short film, “The girl Behind the Mirror”, which was awarded Best Children’s Film at the 28th Encounters Film Festival in the UK, and selected in more than 50 festivals, 7 of which qualified for the Oscars. Iuri is also one of the creators of “Lanterna Mágica – International Animation Festival” and is producing his first feature film, “Armadillo Girl”, as well as working on other short, feature and series projects that are in development.
