Sinossi:
Marc, dopo aver ricevuto diversi commenti razzisti e piuma-fobici da un’app di incontri gay, riceve un messaggio dal suo amico transessuale Cacao che lo invita ad una sala da ballo. Marc decide di andare, lì rimane sorpreso dalla libertà e dalla diversità dell’ambiente. Giunta al bar locale, scambia uno sguardo con Leo, un ragazzo attraente. Dopo aver visto la sua amica camminare, i due hanno una conversazione intima in cui Cacao incoraggia Marc a camminare quella notte. Una volta arrivata la categoria Catboy Sex Siren, Leo va a fare una passeggiata mentre Marc osserva la situazione con un misto di desiderio e dubbio.
Il film è stato selezionato in 17 Festival ed ha vinto tre premi: OUTFEST PERU (2023), MERCED QUEER FILM FESTIVAL (2023) e FESTIVAL DE CINE INTERNACIONAL ARANDA 1503 (2023)
Biofilmografia:
Cristian Sitjas è un regista barcellonese che ha sviluppato la sua carriera a Barcellona. Dopo aver iniziato gli studi all’EMAV, ha completato il master in Direzione Artistica presso l’ESCAC dove ha ricevuto una borsa di studio dalla scuola stessa per completare il master in Direzione. Durante questo periodo scrive e dirige i cortometraggi: Violeta, Placebo e La muerte de Oso. Tutti sono stati presentati in anteprima a festival cinematografici nazionali e internazionali. Nel frattempo, stava completando il Master in Sceneggiatura cinematografica presso la scuola Showrunners Bcn dove ha scritto la sua prima sceneggiatura per un lungometraggio. Parallelamente ai suoi studi, ha lavorato come secondo e terzo assistente alla regia in film come Sinjar, diretto da Anna M. Bofarull e interpretato da Nora Navas, o The Mother con Jennifer Lopez. Anche in serie come Who is Erin Carter? (Netflix) e la signora Davis (Warner bros). A causa del suo interesse per l’esplorazione di nuovi linguaggi e narrazioni nel campo audiovisivo, ha lavorato presso la società di produzione di film erotici femministi Erika Lust, dove ha scritto e diretto il cortometraggio Catboy, che è in distribuzione. Attualmente è immerso nello sviluppo del suo primo lungometraggio di finzione e nella pre-produzione di un cortometraggio. In entrambi i progetti, Cristian esplora i limiti dell’essere umano di fronte al piacere, al dolore, alla tristezza o alla ricerca di fuga, il tutto in scenari che rompono con ciò che conosciamo come normativo.

Synopsis:
Marc, after receiving several racist and feather-phobic comments from a gay dating app, receives a message from his transsexual friend Cacao inviting him to a dance hall. Marc decides to go, there he is surprised by the freedom and diversity of the environment. Arriving at the local bar, she exchanges a look with Leo, an attractive boy. After seeing her friend walking, the two have an intimate conversation in which Cacao encourages Marc to walk that night. Once the Catboy Sex Siren category arrives, Leo goes for a walk while Marc observes the situation with a mixture of desire and doubt.

Biofilmography:
Cristian Sitjas is a director from Barcelona who developed his career in Barcelona. After starting his studies at EMAV, he completed his master’s degree in Art Direction at ESCAC where he received a scholarship from the school itself to complete his master’s degree in Direction. During this period he wrote and directed the short films: Violeta, Placebo and La muerte de Oso. All have premiered at national and international film festivals. Meanwhile, he was completing his Masters in Film Screenwriting at the Showrunners Bcn school where he wrote his first feature film screenplay. Parallel to his studies, he worked as second and third assistant director on films such as Sinjar, directed by Anna M. Bofarull and starring Nora Navas, or The Mother with Jennifer Lopez. Even in series like Who is Erin Carter? (Netflix) and Mrs. Davis (Warner bros). Because of her interest in exploring new languages and narratives in the audiovisual field, she worked at the feminist erotic film production company Erika Lust, where she wrote and directed the short film Catboy, which is in distribution. He is currently immersed in the development of his first fiction feature film and pre-production of a short film. In both projects, Cristian explores the limits of the human being when faced with pleasure, pain, sadness or the search for escape, all in scenarios that break with what we know as normative.
