“Lei” racconta la storia di un figlio e di una madre, entrambi prigionieri dei vestiti scomodi che la vita ha destinato loro. Entrambi indossano la sofferenza, ma in modo diverso l’uno dall’altro. Un’allegoria sull’accettazione e l’auto-scoperta, piena di dolcezza e violenza, odio e amore; in breve, del profumo agrodolce della vita. Il corto ha ricevuto il Premio del Pubblico al Glocal Film Festival (2023).
Biofilmografia:
Donato Luigi Bruni nasce a Taranto il 10 dicembre 1992 e fin da piccolo mostra curiosità verso il mondo dell’audiovisivo. A Torino, nel 2016 e nel 2017 gira i suoi primi due film, un cortometraggio e un lungometraggio. Nei tre anni successivi si dedica alla recitazione e al doppiaggio prima di tornare alla regia nel 2021 con “Smile”. Si è laureato in “Cinema e Media” presso l’Università degli Studi di Torino e lavora presso “Officine CAOS” come Digital Creator.

Synopsis:
She, a mother.
She, a daughter.
She, a woman.”
“She” tells the story of a son and a mother, both prisoners of the uncomfortable clothes that life has assigned to them. Both wear suffering, but differently from each other. An allegory about acceptance and self-discovery, full of sweetness and violence, hate and love; in short, of the bittersweet scent of life. The short received the Audience Award at the Glocal Film Festival (2023).
Biofilmography:
Donato Luigi Bruni was born in Taranto on 10 December 1992 and showed curiosity towards the audiovisual world from an early age. In Turin, in 2016 and 2017 he shot his first two films, a short film and a feature film. In the following three years he dedicated himself to acting and dubbing before returning to directing in 2021 with “Smile”. He graduated in “Cinema and Media” at the University of Turin and works at “Officine CAOS” as a Digital Creator.
