SINOSSI
EN: Oscar and Iván, two best friends, are having a party for Iván’s 25th birthday. During the celebration, they promise to each other that next year they will fulfill the dream of their lives: Traveling to Japan together. That year passes and we see Oscar, completely alone, carrying out the journey they were promised. But a question arises: Where is Ivan?
ITA: Oscar e Iván, due migliori amici, stanno organizzando una festa per il 25° compleanno di Iván. Durante la festa, si promettono a vicenda che l’anno prossimo realizzeranno il sogno della loro vita: viaggiare insieme in Giappone. Quell’anno passa e vediamo Oscar, completamente solo, intraprendere il viaggio che gli era stato promesso. Ma sorge una domanda: dov’è Ivan?

EN: M.A. Cardona (Mallorca, 2000), studied cinema at CEF: School of Audiovisual Arts. He’s a filmmaker and also works as a technician in audiovisual media at the Balearic Islands Television. His first short film as a writer and director was ‘Close Away’ (2020). After different works as a screenwriter, including the award-winning ‘Prayers Of Soot’ (2022), M.A. Cardona presents his new work as a director and screenwriter, ‘お め で と う (Omedetō)’ (2024), a story shot between Japan and Spain. In this one, M.A. Cardona also plays the part of one of the two leads characters.
ES: M.A. Cardona (Mallorca, 2000), estudió cine en el CEF: Escuela de Artes Audiovisuales. Es Técnico en Audiovisuales en la Televisión Autonómica de las Islas Baleares y Cineasta. Su primer cortometraje como Director y Escritor fue ‘Cerca de lejos’ (2020). Tras algunos trabajos como guionista, entre ellos se halla la premiada ‘Oraciones De Hollín’ (2022), M.A. Cardona presenta su nuevo trabajo como Director y Guionista, ‘おめでとう (Omedetō)’ (2024), una obra rodada entre Japón y España. En esta, M.A. Cardona también interpreta a uno de los dos protagonistas.
