Patricia Chica (born in San Salvador, El Salvador) also known as Chicatronica is a Canadian film and television director, speaker and Vlogger. She is one of the most internationally renowned filmmakers of Salvadorian descent. In 2007 and 2010, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of El Salvador gave her a diploma of recognition for her outstanding contribution to the country’s cinematic heritage. Winner of over 30 awards, her productions have been presented on television in North America, Europe and Australia, at numerous universities, within niche communities as well as in the international film festival circuit.

PEACE OF MIND documenta la vita di un artista americano, Flo McGarrell, prima della sua morte durante l terremoto di Haiti del Gennaio 2010. Attraverso delle interviste degli artsisti lcali discutono dell’impatto McGarrell sulla comunità e sul piccolo movimento queer nato intorno al FOSAJ Art Center a Jacmel dove lavora. Il regista, Cary Cronenwett ha collaborato con McGarrell alla realizzazione del film, Peace of Mind, dove parla del suo dolore e dover fare I conti con la perdita di un caro amico..
Prima della tragedia, Cronenwett e McGarrell stavano lavorando alla realizzazione di un film basato sul romanzo: KATHY GOES TO HAITI, di Kathy Acker. Girato solo alcune settimane prima della morte di McGarrell, con Zackary Drucker che interpreta Kathy Acker. La registrazione non finite del progetto delineano il confine tra fiction e documentario.

Originaria dell’ Oklahoma, Cary Cronenwett ha trascorso la maggior parte della sua vita a San Francisco, California dove ha vinto nel 2009 la Bay Area Guardian Goldie per Local Discovery dopo l’uscita del suo film Maggots and Men . il suo lavoro è stato proiettato in numerosi festival tra cui al Miami International, Outfest Los Angeles, Frameline, Queer Lisboa/ Lisbon, Identities Vienna, and Toronto Inside Out. Possiede una laurea magistrale dal CalArts Program for Film and Video e una triennale dal Evergreen State College ad Olympia, Washington. Attualmente vive a Berlino.

Foto-shock. A Marsiglia, nel 2012, Julia e Auriane, due giovani studentesse sfidano i manifestanti anti-matrimonio gay e mostrano una foto che è diventata rapidamente un punto di riferimento in termini di azione civica contro la discriminazione. Di fronte a loro, l’ omofobia che non osa dire il suo nome, ma approfitta della lotta per la parità dei diritti, per apparire senza vergogna. Tra una nuova proposta di legge e la nuova omofobia, ci addentriamo in una immagine che testimonia lo stato dei rapporti tra la Francia e l’omosessualità.

Valérie Mitteaux è una documentarista. Vive tra Lisbona e Parigi. In qualità di ex giornalista, ha realizzato diversi documentari, tra cui 55 Caravans, Premio Speciale Festival dei Diritti Umanil, Parigi nel 2004 e Le Mans Ecrans Documentaires premio del pubblico nel 2005; Kings of the World, uscito nel giugno 2007 e, più recentemente, “Girl or boy, my sex isn’t my gender”, prodotto e trasmesso da Arte nell’ottobre 2011 in Francia e Germania. Synopsis
Shocking picture. In Marseille, in 2012, Julia and Auriane, two young students, stand up to anti-gay marriage and adoption protesters, and offer a snapshot which soon became a reference in terms of anti-discrimination civic action. Opposite them, homophobia which pretends not to be one, taking advantage of the equal right movement to parade shamelessly. Between progressive bill and new homophobia, we delve into an image that bears witness of the state of the relationship between France and homosexuality.

Valérie Mitteaux is a documentary maker. She lives between Lisbon and Paris. As a former journalist, she made several documentary feature films including Caravane 55, Human Rights Festival Special award, Paris in 2004 and Le Mans Ecrans Documentaires Public award in 2005; Kings of the World, released in theatres in June 2007 and more recently Girl or boy, my sex isn’t my gender, produced by Arte and broadcasted in October 2011 in France and Germany. Focusing on the research of new paradigms, human rights and the quest for more democracy, she is currently developing two new projects in parallel: Dreamocracy on a Portuguese Civic Academy initiative, with a European vocation. And The Female Sub-mission, on the difficulty of women to be free of their submission.

Benjamin Wacksmann (nato 11 Maggio 1985 a Parigi) è un regista e sceneggiatore francese con una passione per il cinema fin dalla più giovane età. Ha seguito per tutto il suo percorso formativo un insegnamento della pratica e analisi delle forme audiovisive. Dopo diversi film scolastici e una laurea in Arti Performative ed Estetica del Cinema presso l’Università di Parigi 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne, ha deciso di andare oltre nella sua ricerca attorno al lavoro dell’attore unendosi alla “Julie Goudard Theater Company”. Per cinque anni, ha lavorato in questa compagnia come attore e assistente alla scenografia sui lavori di classici, repertori moderni e contemporanei (W. Shakespeare, Cechov A., T. Williams, S. Kane …). Allo stesso tempo, ha sviluppato le sue abilità nella scrittura continuando a sviluppare il suo senso dell’ immagine come cameraman e aiuto regista in altri progetti di trasmissione e video d’arte come quelli dell’artista contemporaneo Oliver Beer. Nel 2012, ha intrapreso l’avventura del suo primo film, En Retour, co-scritto con il fratello, che ha prodotto e diretto. Benjamin Wacksmann (born May 11, 1985 in Paris) is a French film director and screenwriter. With a passion for cinema since the youngest age, he followed throughout his schooling a teaching of the practice and analysis of audiovisual forms. After several school films and a degree of Performing Arts and Esthetics of Films at the University Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne, he decided to go further into his research around the actor’s work and joined the Julie Goudard Theater Company. For five years, he worked within this company as an actor and assistant to the scenography on plays of classic, modern and contemporary repertoires (W. Shakespeare, A. Tchekov, T. Williams, S. Kane…). At the same time, he developed his skills in plot writing and kept on developing his sense of image by working as a cameraman and assistant director on other broadcasting projects and art videos such as these of the contemporary artist Oliver Beer. In 2012, he embarked on the adventure of his first movie In Return, co-written with his brother, which he produced and directed. Today, he is finalizing the post-production of his second short film “If I forget you”, a poetic survival film set in a wild nature, and is developing the storyline of his next movie.

Il suo lungometraggio di debutto, “Many pieces of something”, è uscito questo autunno.

Vasili ha è il suo corpo tonico e una medaglia d’argento, Slav convive da anni con un dolore che paralizza la sua mano. Sono quindici anni di foto, di sguardi e passeggiate domenicali.

Dopo diversi anni di lavoro in diverse squadre di produzione per cortometraggi, lungometraggi e pubblicità, ho deciso di dedicarmi a progetti di regia. Ho diretto video musicali, cortometraggi, pubblicità e seguito il dietro le quinte di altri progetti. Sono l’altra metà del duo creativo “Pérez y Stein”.
